Thunderbird to host top players from the world
The AJGA's Thunderbird International Junior is set to take place May 25-27 at Grayhawk Golf Club's Raptor course in Scottsdale, Ariz. For the 13th consecutive year, the Thunderbird will boast a good field of homegrown American players along with an international mix.

Led by Western Amateur champion Ethan Tracy, Arkansas won its season-opening event, the Gopher Invitational, by three shots over North Texas. Tracy, who topped UCLA’s Patrick Cantlay in the Western Am finals this summer, finished fifth at 2 over par at Spring Hill GC.

Hoyas stun Big East, win conference crown
Vincenzo Salina made an 8-foot par putt on the 18th hole Tuesday at Innisbrook Resort to lead No. 211 Georgetown to a one-shot victory at the Big East Championship. It was the Hoyas’ first conference title since 1998.
