Got down to scratch at age 18, and in 1994 played for Swedish boys. A year later, he graduated to the national side and had a successful amateur career by representing Sweden in the 1998 Eisenhower Trophy in Chile. Wife, Emma, played golf at the University of South Carolina. He spent time practicing at the school's practice facility. Having become a father of two and experiencing as much of the world, he is taking interest in the next generation. He has his own junior event at his home club and is also hosting a Challenge Tour tournament; the Princess, In Skaane, Sweden. Has started the Henrik Stenson Foundation, where he aims to support and encourage children to reach their full potential through sports. He has always enjoyed team play in the otherwise individual sport and is committed to contribute in the future. He is dedicated to inspire others, be it teammates or the youngers he encounters through his junior activities. (Bio information from Golfweek research and pgatour.com)
