Following his win at the Travelers Championship, dedicated the win to his wife and father, Gerry, who was battling lung cancer and later passed away in October of 2010. Attended the same high school — Milton (Fla.) High School - a few years after current PGA TOUR players Heath Slocum and Boo Weekley. Sponsors the Bubba Watson Invitational at the University of West Florida, a women's NCAA Division II golf tournament at Stonebrook Village GC.
